The inverted fluorescence microscope is an "inverted" version of the upright biological microscope. The light source and condenser are set above the stage and point downwards to the stage, while the objective lens and objective lens turntable are located below the stage and upward. The inverted fluorescence microscope is one of the inverted microscopes. Inverted Microscope was invented by J. Lawrence Smith in 1850, used to observe living cells or organisms at the bottom of petri dishes or tissue culture flasks. The biological inverted fluorescence microscope can also provide bright field, phase contrast or epi-fluorescence functions.
